Sensor (Optical fiber)

Optical Fiber Sensor for Chenille Yarn. Fast, programmable defect detection for the winding process. The sensor for this application is patented # (202421009069) by Prime Engineers

Chenille yarn is produced in two main stages: (1) threading and twisting (2) winding. Prime engineers’ optical fibre sensor is used in the winding stage to detect and remove yarn defects that originate during the first stage.

Unlike conventional sensors, this sensor uses visible-light optical fibre sensing. Calibration is electronic and programmable, making setup simpler and more consistent. It sets a benchmark in the\ chenille yarn industry with a response time of 0.00005 second.

Features Detects yarn faults and burls, colour variation, knots, thickness variation, and off-centre core yarn
Delivery Time 1 month
Standard Configuration Set of 6 heads with one single-phase power pack
